What you provide
If you select a subtitle file, your browser reads it and converts it locally using JavaScript. The website does not upload the file or transcript content to a CueShift server. File contents disappear from this app when you close or refresh the page, unless you save an exported copy yourself.
Optional Creator AI requests (cloud processing)
The Creator AI page is an optional, real AI-assisted feature. When you explicitly press Generate, the up-to-3,800-character transcript excerpt and requested task are sent to our Cloudflare Worker and Cloudflare Workers AI for inference. This is NOT local-only processing. Please do not submit secrets, confidential client material, personal health information, or third-party materials without permission. We do not intentionally store submitted transcript text, include it in browser analytics, or build user profiles from it. Cloudflare may retain request and security metadata and process inference according to its own service policies.
To prevent free AI abuse, the page uses Cloudflare Turnstile. Your browser submits a challenge token to Cloudflare, and the server verifies it before allowing a limited AI request. Short-term rate limits may use your connection IP address for abuse prevention; we do not expose that information to other users. Our free AI quota may be exhausted and model drafts can be inaccurate. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Site operation
Our web hosting provider may process basic technical request metadata such as IP address, user agent, URL requests, diagnostics and security logs to deliver and secure the public site. Consult the hosting provider's privacy policy for details.
Cloudflare Web Analytics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a free privacy-focused measurement service, to understand page views, visits, referring websites, rough country, device/browser information and page-load performance. A small JavaScript beacon loads from static.cloudflareinsights.com and sends measurement data to Cloudflare. It does not collect the subtitle text you paste, files you select, or your converter settings. Cloudflare Web Analytics does not use analytics cookies or log URL query strings, and is designed not to track individuals across sites. Cloudflare may separately process necessary site delivery and security logs as described above. We do not use Google Analytics, advertising pixels, account cookies or paid subscriptions. No payment is accepted here yet. Once approved, optional purchases will use the Creem-hosted checkout: Creem as merchant of record may process order and billing information under its privacy policy. We will not receive full payment card details.

Any external link is governed by the other site's own privacy policy. We are not responsible for content on linked websites.
